Today I'm loving the fact that old friends enjoy getting together and also feel as if I am capable of coordinating "reunion" events. I love get togethers, especially seeing friends that I haven't seen in awhile that I went to school with. I'm loving that an old friend came to me with an idea of doing yearly gatherings...with me to coordinate it.
I'm also loving that another old friend is heavily involved with Veteran's affairs. Its exactly that avenue I'm wanting to go into. And I've got the opportunity to help him in that.
I'm loving old friends today...and the things we get involved in, with them!

country music blaring, windows down, yeah it was one of those days...
I love days like today...it started off storming, that part wasn't fun cause everytime the thunder cracks Zeke feels the need to protect us from it and barks his head off until I threaten him to get into his kennel. Then he magically stops. lol. crazy mut! As the day went on the sun came out! It was kinda humid around noon when I took Zeke for a walk, but it wasn't too bad. But then this evening I got a call to meet John, Kandy, Jackson, Mom, Leslie & Kati at Ollie's for some ice cream. So I decided to take Zeke, oh it was beautiful out!! I put the windows down cranked up the music, and I sang while Zeke stuck his head out the window. What a blast! He enjoyed a scoop of vanilla in a bowl while I had a waffle cone with chocolate...YUM!
As I was leaving town Zeke and I were at a stop sign on a side street when we saw a guy walking his dog. He smiled when he saw Zeke sticking his head out the window enjoying the breeze. Thats just one of the things I love about this town. I don't know who the man was, but he smiled, and I smiled back. And we both went on with our lives.
I'm going to try to start posting daily something I enjoy. Either from the town, the state, the country, etc...just life! What did you enjoy today, what made you smile??

so far its safe to say..
That the pain I was having at Easter that landed me in the ER is most likely Acid Reflux. I've been taking Prilosec for 4 days now and these last 2 the pain has practically subsided! THANK YOU JESUS!!! The doctor was leaning more towards my gallbladder malfunctioning and even did an ultrasound to see if I had any galstones, THANK YOU JESUS there were none. I've been talking to my aunt who is a dietician and I've come to learn that this very well could be linked with my obesity. So, I've sprung into action...I call this "dieting" not really a diet but more like good choices, and that I'm saving my life one good choice at a time. While I'm on this theres no caffeine and no alcohol while I take this medicine, so ok I'll take it one step further and say for the most part, no soda for me! I'm letting myself have thursday nights as my "not so great choice night" since that is family game night and we typically all eat some kind of a meal together. So that time together is my "freebie" time, in portion controlled doses of course! And I'm not calling it jogging but more, "Running for my life." lol I'm jogging again to get my weight under control and to save my life! Theres nothing like a medical condition to slap me in the rear and get me going toward a healthier me!
Oh, and for those that don't know, my boyfriend and I split up. Long story short between the distance and my unwillingness to move/compromise my morals, it killed the relationship. Its better this way I suppose. I miss him. alot.
Get out and enjoy this beautiful weather! I know I have been :-D

Jackson Fund
Hey guys!
For my consistent readers and friends, I'm calling on you to help pray for my family once again. The bills have piled up for my brother and sister-in-law due to all the lawyer fees that have accrued because of the trial we went through. Prayers are already being answered to help find a way to get these bills paid off but there is a HUGE bill that needs paying from their lawyer out in Arizona.
If you'd like to know more about my wonderful family members or even donate to the fund to help get these bills off their backs please visit their blog at:

Lets show the world just how awesome our God is and how much He moves when we all come to him on someone's behalf.

What are you waiting on?
Well, another relationship of mine came to a screeching hault today...I dont get it. I guess all my girls are right, the right one will come along and it'll all work out. What a blessing this song is to me...to keep "running the race, while I'm waiting." I quoted the song I'm letting go on my facebook today, I love the chorus:
"I'm letting go of the life I've planned for me, and my dreams. I'm loosing control of my destiny, feels like I'm falling and thats what its like to believe, so I'm letting go, and giving into your gravity knowing you are holding me, I'm not afraid."
My dreams as a kid was to be a teacher, but more than that I wanted to be a wife and a mom. I never dreamed that at 25, I'd still be single with no children. I fully realize that most of you right now are going, WHAT?!? You've still got plenty of time. But you also have to consider, that my plan was to be married by 21 and kids not long after. I know, not very realistic, but its what I wanted. I'm learning more and more that its time to let go of the life I've planned, my dreams. And allow God to take over and show me the dreams He has for me. I know in my heart it would far surpass any dream I could EVER even imagine...if I'd just be patient and wait on the Lord.
So as I wait for Prince Charming, Mr. Right (whatever you wanna call him) I'll continue to run the race, I'll worship, I'll Serve Him, and I will Praise Him for all the amazing things in this life that God has blessed me with when I let go of the life I'd planned and followed His lead. For me, I'll wait...
