Sitting and Waiting

I went to see my doctor again today in regards to my neck. My profile was about to expire...ok like late november but I wanted to get in there now. He changed my status from deployable to NON-Deployable...yes, I have a guarantee now I can not be sent to the war...makes me very MAD, sad, I'm not quite sure which one dominates. I feel worthless as a Soldier. I know there is good work here in the states to do, but at the same time, it breaks my heart. Also, in repercussion to the non-deployable status..my records have been forwarded to another Doctor who will review them through the medical evaluation board, which will determine whether or not I get to stay in the Army. It's a scary time right now for me. Sure this has been on my mind since the treatments kept not working, but...still it I dunno. Anyway thats all I have, I'm pending a medical board evaluation, and the family can rest assured, I can't be sent to war. Pray for me please?

A new feel...

Well, I figure its time for a change of the page, so I did it! I changed up the pictures, changed the background and now its all switched up! Mainly I felt the change was needed because the pictures were out of date. My sweet Jackson has grown and changed so much in the few months I've been apart from him that I wanted to update our pictures. I will see him again physically in February and I'm anxiously counting down the days until I can hug my sister-in-law again and hold Jackson. I miss my family. I feel so distant from John, Kandy, and Jackson these days. Thats my goal this year as my birthday comes closer. I'd like to build a closer bond with Kandy, she's such an amazing woman of faith to look up to, and I have so far to go to reach up to God. Sorry, starting ranting again about things totally not on topic...but there you go..I changed the background and the pictures...Enjoy!

What is your....

I'm Curious....what's your favorite Halloween memory or favorite thing to do for the day?? Mine has always been watching mom's enthusiasm as so many dress up and play along for her birthday! Leave me a comment and share your favorite halloween tradition, memory, costume...anything!

Good gravy, I've done it again...

I've sprained my ankle yet again...I swear you'd think after so many sprains they'd just fall off, and yet they don't! I was carrying a couch down a flight of stairs (yup, I got a full couch...for FREE!) when I missed the last step and fell. Skinned up my knee, rolled my ankle and now I'm back on my beloved friends the crutches...only for not even a week, doc said as soon as I feel good walking again I can go without...but...this morning I worked up quite a sweat just getting into the hospital and up to my office...I think this will be my only day on the sticks. I'll just gimp the rest of the week!

So I have a couch and a love seat now...I'm ready for visitors! So, whose coming to visit after Kati and Diana?! :-)

Ok, so its been a while since I did any kinds of updates...I'm still here! Just I don't spend much time online anymore because of the simple fact I had to downgrade to dial-up and well I've forgotten how slow it is!! But I promised Kandy I would give you all an update so here I am, Saturday morning, writing a blog, watching Bridgett Jones' Diary number 2. Champ seems to be growing out of his tank already, he's def. gotten a lot bigger! Zeke had his first "Mommy" haircut today...he survived and was SOOOO Sweet through the whole process! I managed to get a good bit of it cut and then got out my scissors and even got some of his facial hair cut! He can see again!!!

And now for my exciting news...Zeke has a new sister Cena, (prounced Zena)

And with my neck, I went for my first round of steroid injections...it was awful, to procedure hurt so bad and I couldnt do anything but lay still and allow the tears to roll down my cheeks. Afterwards I went between feeling nauseated and lightheaded. When I tried to walk I needed an escort for a good 2-3 hours it felt like I was falling backwards all the time. My neck hurt worse after the numbing wore off not even 3 hours later. The Chaplain's sent me home, I couldn't move my shoulders or neck and I was in a lot of pain. I still continue to have pain daily that is worse than I did before the injections. They had me scheduled (unbeknownst to me) to have more injections on the 25th of this month. I called and cancelled. I don't know what the next step will be. But for now I continue to go to the chiropractor...I sleep with a ice pack that Aunt Karen made and dad bought for me...every night. I go back to my doctor on the 7th I believe of next month. Not sure when or what will happen then.
