As I'm preparing for my 1100 appointment...

There is plenty on my mind...

I'm nervous, yes I'm scared too. My heart is still screaming for the victims and the family members of the horrible shooting back home. I don't know what to make of it. I know one thing, I can't wait to get home on leave. I can't wait to wrap my arms around all of my loved ones...Jackson's probably going to get more kisses than he knows what to do with!

I know yesterday was Valentines Day, but take the NIU Shooting as a reminder to cherish those you love, pull them close today and give them a hug...even if you dont feel like it, do it for the Soldiers who are across the ocean or even just states away that can't do that. Dont take your family and loved ones for granted, you have no idea how hard it is being seperated from what is to me, my world.

I love you guys! I miss you! I'll be home again soon, and guess what...everyone is getting hugs!

Calling out my prayer warriors...

I found out that tomorrow at 1100 est, I will get my results for whether or not the Army is going to send me home on my medical discharge. I'm not worried about the results, either way...I know Gods Will will be done. What I'm asking for is prayer on my anxiety in it all! I'm so nervous, I'm afraid I wont sleep tonight. CH Winchester will be accompanying me to the appointment. Stay tuned, as long as I'm not too worked up tomorrow I will post a new blog soon with the results, I will be notifying my family first before I post anything. I love you all, if you have my cell number feel free to txt or call me for encouragment. I'd greatly appreciate it!

All my love

Quarters...

I was sent home today...I've got an ear infection and an infection in my throat. So I was sent home for 24 hour quarters...Zeke is loving it (I look to my left and he's asleep on the arm of our love seat...lol)

I also got a call today from my medical discharge officer, she's super awesome, a real sweet woman!! She has my packet and is ready to do some counseling. I go monday morning to go over it with her and then as far as I understand its off to San Antonio.

I know lots of friends and family would love for me to be home, and I would love to be home, so I'm asking that we all pray for God's will in my life and in this situation. I know everything will work out for the good and glory of my God, I'll keep you updated next time I have new information!

14 days til I'm home on leave!!!!

Holy WOW!

I can hardly contain myself as I'm sitting here at work. This week we had to turn in for my Marriage & Families course a three-page paper on three different love theories that our book presented to us. I studied the theories and then I took what was in the book and my understanding of it, and wrote how I felt about them. Well, the professor received it today and read it today...graded it as well...what was supposed to be a three-page paper turned into 5 pages for me. I know, I went over but I felt strongly about each and so I went into details about why I felt the way I did. Here's what the professor emailed me as a response...

"Emily,
Just a note to let you know that I received your WA#1 paper and it is one of the
best I have seen (not only in this term, but overall). The mix of academic and
personal insights was right on target. Well done, very well done.
Dr. Dunn"

btw...I got 50 out of 50 points. I've never gotten 100% on a paper before. I'm awestruck, and am excited as well, its quite obvious to me, I'm taking the path thats near and dear to my heart.

I just continue to pray that God will use me in the field that He so desires me to go in life.

Its official

My leave has been approved and returned to me for the end of this month...9 glorious days at home! I seriously CANT wait!

Annnnnd, I just got free tickets to a hockey game for tomorrow night! WOOHOO its gonna be like a sports weekend! Hockey tomorrow night and Super Bowl on Sunday! YAY
